There are so many things to talk to one’s friends about, even from an ordinary day!

Thoughts, feelings, observations, understanding, all race through our minds and hearts as we go about our work or play. But much of this is lost, or forgotten, as we grapple with ever increasing volumes of information.

How does one pluck a poem from a classroom experience?

How can a story heard from grandma be retold for the delight of many others?

What is the best way to present the drama behind friends having a fight, and then making up?

This short introductory course presents budding writers and poets with activities that will hone their skills of observation and narration. It helps them develop practices that will strengthen their journey as aspiring writers in the present, and further ahead. Most importantly, apart from giving participants a fresh approach to expanding their vocabulary, it also gives them ways to find meaning and expression in all they experience.

This 2.5 day course will be held during the week starting May 21, 2023 and is part of the 2-week curriculum for our Junior students (other sessions include "Fun with Math and Science" and "Intro to Economics & Sociology".
