About the Course
(This course is targeted at children entering Grades 8, 9, 10 in 2020-21)
Research shows that resilience (or the ability to bounce from failures) may be more important for success than intelligence. Do you consider yourself a strong person? Are you curious as to what your strengths are and how you can use them in different contexts not just to get through, but to actually thrive?
In this course, we will help you uncover your strengths in a fun and engaging way. Can you imagine that learning about your strengths could involve playing Dumb Charades and Antakshari? You will also become a strength-detective, spotting strengths in others, using a tambola-like game.
While having fun, we will explore deeply the questions such as what do we mean by inculcating passion, how to ingrain an attitude of gratitude and what motivates us and how we can stay hopeful.
Along with videos that you will watch offline, you will also be undertaking homework assignments that are guaranteed to develop your strengths and make you happier. Some of these offbeat assignments include reading twitter threads and expressing our gratitude to someone we may not have appreciated properly.
Knowing and using your strengths proactively will make you resilient and able to withstand the stresses and curveballs life throws at you.
