About the event

This session is an introduction to the topic of learning disabilities and is relevant for parents and teachers, and all adults working with children. When we are not aware that individuals can have 'specific deficits' with respect to activities like reading, writing math etc., we may confuse the challenges learners face, with issues of attitude or intelligence levels. However when we are aware and are able to recognize these challenges early, we can help children with learning disabilities to succeed in life and academic work by providing the kind of support they need. Unfortunately, low awareness about learning disabilities and what can be done results in people never knowing why they have difficulties with academics or why they may be having problems in their jobs or in relationships with family and friends.

In this session, Manju Arif, national award winning principal of DPS, North Bangalore and Sonal Raja, clinical psychologist who has worked extensively with schools, children and parents will be in conversation with us to provide a basic introduction to this topic and answer the questions of the audience.

Come, be a part of the conversation!

Join us on Saturday (Feb 27), 2-3 pm.

Registration is a must prior to event. All registered participants will receive the Zoom link for the session 24 hours prior to event.
