Parenting Capsule: Motivating our Teens

This session is for Parents of Teen Children

Most parents of teens might find some of these exchanges all too familiar...

Parent: "He won't make his bed. His room looks like a sty! I don't know what to do!"

Teen: "LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Parent: "She won't study! Doesn't she realize she will not admission into a good college if she doesn't study??"

Teen: "I DON'T CARE!"

Parent: "Why won't he just do what I ask him to do?"

Teen: "I DON'T WANT TO!"

What can we as parents do to shake our children out of this general air of ennui, whether it is to do with school work or their health? How can we help them look at the bigger picture, look ahead and build habits that will help them work effectively?
